I liked this morning’s front-page CNN story:

If you bought a house you can’t afford and are unable to keep paying the mortgage, maybe you shouldn’t have a $90/month (minimum) iPhone…just sayin’.

    Hey! That’s a first generation iPhone. It could easily be $70/month.

    While I don’t know that particular woman’s situation, I do think it’s pretty callous when people think they’re entitled to live beyond their means at the expense of others. I like the fact that my taxes go in part to people who actually do need help getting by. What I don’t like is when people who live well within their means end up footing the mortgage bill for those who think they deserve a McMansion regardless of income level.
